Job Summary As a Human Resources Coordinator, III you will support the administrative functions of human resources that directly affect Team Members Job Description Experience Required:
6 months to 1 year Experience Desired:
Knowledge of HR related DOT regulations; Knowledge of labor agreements; Payroll experience in a union environment; Understanding of OSHA safety regulations; Knowledge of general HR laws and software including timekeeping, PeopleSoft, etc.
Education Desired:
High school diploma or equivalent with 18 months
of additional training ?Job Responsibilities Process weekly payroll, including pre-close, pay report review, overtime & labor reporting, payroll submission, paycheck adjustments, accumulated hours book and vacation/holiday tracking to guarantee Team Members receive accurate pay Manage attendance tracking of both tardies and absence incidents of all Team Members, maintaining documentation of attendance write-ups along with proper disposition of medical documents and doctor's excuses to ensure accurate records are retained for the store's reference Assist with Team Members' issues, including leaves of absence, payroll discrepancies, contacting the Team Member relations specialist with complaints/concerns and coordination of unemployment documentation and witnesses for hearings.
Assist HR Dept.
with addressing concerns, investigations and executing disciplinary actions as needed.
Encourage open lines of communication with the store leader, TMRS and department leaders to ensure Team Members'; needs are met.
Track birthdays and anniversaries for all Team Members, and the perfect attendance report.
Submit quarterly/yearly perfect attendance bonus information for payout Submit status change notifications, data entry transactions and terminations to corporate human resources to ensure accurate and timely information is obtained and any inconsistencies can be resolved.
Organize and facilitate new hire orientations, which includes creating name tags, scheduling new hires for orientation, reviewing policies and procedures, and completing new hire paperwork and I-9 verifications; coordinate store hiring needs and assist with recruiting activities, including position creation, job postings, phone screenings, interview scheduling, employment offers, submitting pre-employment background checks and drug tests; conduct new hire follow-up discussions as directed.
Update and post bid letters if applicable.
Adhere to and understand the collective bargaining agreement (if applicable) in order to be knowledgeable of vacation and holiday policies and procedures.
Take responsibility for miscellaneous payroll matters, handling punches, scheduling issues and SmartTrack maintenance.
Follow up on I-9 verifications for Team Members (I-9 certification required).
Assist with random drug testing (per established policy).
Assist fellow Confidential HR Coordinator(s) as needed.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
